1st LAR Realism Unit, founded 22DEC20, is an Arma 3 milsim unit emulating the real 1st Light Armored Reconnaissance Battalion.

Our goal is to reproduce the tactics around the 1st Light Armored Reconnaissance Battalion inside the video game of Arma 3, using the LAV-25, an eight wheeled amphibious reconnaissance vehicle.

Utilizing its M242 Bushmaster 25mm cannon, and a small group of marine dismount scouts, the LAR unit can provide a wide array of missions and objectives, such as recon in force, operational security, hit and run tactics and raids, recon behind enemy lines, and amphibious (water) assaults.
